- While it was the last game played, we gotta start with the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers. So, the Browns couldn't practice, had no coach all week, had to go on the road to Three Rivers, and what did they do? 28-0 at the end of the 1st quarter. Now, the Steelers kind of, sort of, made a game of it, but it was too little, too late. The Browns steamrolled them in the 1st half, and they had no answer. Big Ben ended up with 4 TDs and 500 yards to go with his 4 INTs, but that was mostly just garbage time stats. Officially, the Browns only won by 11, but let's be honest...they flat out kicked the Steelers asses.
- The Chicago Bears should count themselves damn lucky this game was only lost by 12 points. The Bears defense is the only reason this wasn't a blowout. The Chicago Bears have one of the worst offenses in the entire NFL, and were completely carried by their defense all year...but that formula doesn't work quite as well against a team like the Saints. You knew New Orleans would put up some points, and once they did, you knew the game was over, because there was no way the Bears offense could match... - Not a fantastic passing day by the 2019 MVP Lamar Jackson, but he had a pretty damn good day rushing to make up for it. There was some criticism for the Ravens players that met at the Titans 50-yard line, but the Titans did this to the Ravens on their own 50 during the regular season, so fair is fair. The Ravens didn't finish anything the Titans didn't start. Is Baltimore/Tennessee now the best non-divisional rivalry in the entire NFL? - Where the hell did Taylor Heinicke come from??? He was the only reason the Buccaneers didn't just massacre the Washington football team. I was rooting for Tampa, to hopefully set up Brady/Brees III, but when the game ended, I legitimately gave Heinicke an clapping ovation. Dude was simply fantastic. I don't know what his contract situation is, but I wouldn't be surprised if he is still on the team during training camp, if Ron Rivera doesn't seriously open up the QB position competition to at least give him the chance to earn the starting spot. - Rams/Seahawks...I think the only thing I can say about this game, is the Rams DL are the MVPs of it. They gave Russell Wilson FITS, were in his face the entire game. I truly think Russell Wilson was flat out unprepared for the pure pressure the Rams defense put on him. Very impressive performance by Los Angeles. - The Bills won a close game...but maybe that's what they needed to do, after just destroying the Dolphins last week. You don't want to get overly confident to the point you feel you are invincible, and the fight the Colts put up should scare the Bills into making sure they are fully prepared for the Ravens. Anything less than being fully prepared could put the Ravens in the AFC title game.
