- Different game, same ol' horsecrap. Nobody believes the NFL's explanation for that roughing the passer call in the Lions/Viking game. Lions/Refs is still the greatest rivalry in all of sports. Also, thanks Matt Patricia, for assembling the single worst Lions defense in history...appreciate that.
- There are rumors that Matt Stafford just played his last game in Detroit, as the thought is, whoever the new coach is, will want to replace him with their own guy...WHO? Who are they going to get that is as tough, or as good as Matt Stafford is? Any incoming coach to the Lions should be thankful that the Lions DON'T need a QB, and it's one less thing they have to worry about. New coach already has to rebuild the entire defense, why add finding a replacement QB for Stafford to that list? That is, if the Lions trade Stafford, or if new coach decides to dump him, I will be PISSED. - 56 points? What the hell, Buffalo? Why didn't we see 56 points a game when Jim Kelly was running the K-gun? If the Bills offense continues to be that efficient, they are absolutely a legitimate Super Bowl contender. AFC title game rematch between the Bills and Chiefs, anyone? - The Cleveland Browns qualified for the Playoffs for the first time since 2002. - The Washington Football Team winning the NFC East at 7-9 is pretty bad...but if the Eagles had won that game, the NFC East could have been represented by a 6-10 team...wasted opportunity, lol - 43 years old, 399 yards, 4 TDs. So, Tom Brady, who is having a "down" year, finishes the regular season #3 in passing yards. #2 in passing TDs, with a 102.2 QB rating, and a 65.7% completion percentage...Most NFL QBs would kill to have "down" years like that. - Every indication points to the next Colts loss as being Philip Rivers' last game in the NFL. The QB himself has openly talked about retiring at the end of this season. Then, the debate becomes whether or not Rivers is a Hall of Fame player or not...but that's a topic for another day. - When asked about the QB change from Jalen Hurts to Nate Sudfeld, Eagles coach Doug Pederson said he was "coaching to win". In Pederson's mind, "Coaching to win" doesn't involve Carson Wentz at all, to the point Wentz was actually listed as being inactive for the game, rather than just being listed as the 2nd or even 3rd stringer. He's a goner. No way in hell Wentz ever wears the Eagles jersey again. And now, for the playoffs: Saturday, January 9th 1:05 PM Indianapolis Colts at Buffalo Bills 4:40 PM Los Angeles Rams at Seattle Seahawks 8:15 PM Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Washington Football Team Sunday, January 10th 1:05 PM Baltimore Ravens at Tennessee Titans 4:40 PM Chicago Bears at New Orleans Saints 8:15 PM Cleveland Browns at Pittsburgh Steelers
